These Grand Ladies - Queen Anne's Lace, Chamomile, and Wild Daisies - are Nature's way of adding beauty where otherwise there might be barren ground. They are working hard to cheer up their old friend the tree, who is now a lowly stump, but he is acquiring that patina in age that wood gets - silvery brown and beautiful in its own right. Is he their knight in shining armor?
