Description
When my parents built the house I grew up in, my mom planted irises in a V-shaped bed at the front of the house. About 30 years later, I took some corms from that bed when it needed thinning and planted them in a flower bed on the farm my husband and I had just moved to. Now another 30+ years later, they still bloom in late May. My friend, Crystal, took a photo of one perfect bloom over the recent Memorial Day weekend and said I could play with it in Photoshop, so here's one thing I did with it, turning a pretty blue iris or "flag", into a neon beauty by filtering and color manipulation. Some wild columbine growing among the irises provide some orange accent color in this digitally manipulated photo.
