Watercolor painting of tiger prawns in blues and violet hues, by Conni Schaftenaar.
A few days ago while thawing some raw tiger prawns to cook, I admired the beautiful colors as they lay in the colander, took some reference photos, and painted it as part of a daily challenge I'm participating in with my local artists' guild during the "Stay at Home" CoVid-19 pandemic.
I did this in my watercolor sketch journal, a 5x7 book, using Ultramarine Blue, Violet, and tiny touches of Raw Sienna.
