Three wild daisies in ink and watercolor, 5x7, by Conni Schaftenaar.
I used an Elegant Writer Calligraphy pen (black, fine point) to draw these daisies. Then using water to activate the ink, and negative techniques, I bled the inks out behind the white petals, blotted in a few places to bring out the "pink" from the activated ink. At the end, added a tiny bit of Gamboge watercolor to give the daisy centers their yellow. All the other color and shading is from the ink - I love how the ink activates from black to shades of cyan and magenta!
