There's an old church a couple of miles from where I live that has the tall white steeple and a stained glass window over the front doors. The church is sided in white siding, but I took the liberty of making the surrounding a warm stone look to make the beautiful wood frame of the window pop, and also took liberties with the colors in the window. But it's a beautiful country church with a very nice stained glass window, and I've wanted to paint it for awhile. I decided to try it on Yupo, as that medium allows the watercolors to retain their "wet" look and stay bright. I used a Gelly Roll gold pen to do the leading lines around the glass.
