Watercolor painting of a blooming forsythia bush, by Conni Schaftenaar.
So hungry for spring colors I started working on several watercolor studies of forsythia in bloom. This is the first, and it expresses the joyful yellow color and riotous nature of an un-tamed forsythia, celebrating its renewed life against a background of spring greens, and soft purples and blues.
