Description
WIP 2 Abstract Watercolor Poinsettia Negative Painting, by Conni Schaftenaar
Experimental approach to creating a background for a negative painting that started with diluting Pebeo masking and blowing it around into spidery tracings across the paper, then pouring pale pinks and blues across the sheet and touching in a little yellow while the pink and blue was still wet. Then sprinkled a little kosher salt over some areas and let it dry. At this stage, I've begun painting around the poinsettia petals - challenging to keep on the "right" side of what I want to paint (around)!
