Description
Took this photo of a tree that is coated in thick frost because of a nearby power plant that vents huge amounts of steam into the air. Wind direction and thermal inversions often make the steam lay close to the ground, resulting in the ultra-thick coating of frost on trees and plants nearby. I applied a minimal filter in Photoshop to brighten and enhance the frosty look, but the original is very similar. Stunning sight that nearly made me drive off the road as I was passing it and noticed it off to my left! Had to circle back and take some photos. Photo taken in Zeeland, MI.
