Painting - Watercolor On Arches Paper
Description
Autumn apples on branches, watercolor, negative painting techniques, by Conni Schaftenaar.
An exercise in negative painting, using only 3 primary transparent colors initially (Prussian Blue, Permanent Rose, Aureolin Yellow). The only additional color was a tiny bit of Payne's Gray mixed with Prussian Blue to make the very dark area in the upper left. Some positive painting details (some leaves, bottoms of apples) were added at the end.All greens and oranges were made with mixing the three primaries on the paper.
I have the full sized (vertical) of this painting also.
